Troy Bilt TB430 Review

The Troy Bilt TB430 leaf blower uses a 2-cycle engine with variable speed throttle that produces about 25cc motor power. The airspeed that exits through its outlet moves at a speed of 180 MPH, clearing up to 430 cubic feet per minute.

The leaf blower’s SpringAssist technology, in conjunction with the Prime, Flip & Go starting system, makes it easy for anyone to turn on the machine in just one pull. The machine is also equipped with other user-friendly features like extended tubes, a built-in leaf scraper, and variable throttle. The throttle comes with cruise control so that operators can clear any yard size with maximum comfort. Pros

Metal Support

The Troy Bilt TB430 leaf blower comes with a metal base that supports the machine at several intervals. The metal base can be used as a brace for the machine’s engine and gas tank. In the short term, the base comes in very handy when you want to start the machine, take a break, or store it. In the long term, the metal base will help protect the machine’s parts. Ease of Use

Coupling the different parts of the machine after unboxing and whenever you want to use it is easy. It would be best to mix your fuel and oil before pouring them into the machine for the fuelling. You can pour separately in the gas tank, but most 2-cycle engines function better when mixing the fuel and oil first.

Cruise Control

Troy Bilt TB430 leaf blower is primarily built for leaves. It can clear your yard and other surfaces in little time. However, you can also use it for stones, dirt, and even snow. You can adjust the steepness of the machine, and with the help of the long nozzle, you can clear out any area without much stress. Check out our review for the best leaf blower vacuum mulcher.

Lightweight

Weighing approximately 11 pounds, the Troy Bilt TB430 leaf blower is easy to carry during use. It has a good balance and can be easily maneuvered.

Cons

Air Intake Valve

The position of the air intake valve is not the best. For right-handed users, the air intake is directly opposite your pants. If you are wearing a big one, it will suck your trousers into the machine, which can get uncomfortable. With time, you will get used to the discomfort or wear tight clothes when you want to use the machine. However, it would have been better if the air intake was positioned below.

Starting Speed

It is easy to couple the Troy Bilt TB430 leaf blower but starting it for the first time can require multiple trials. Also, the speed builds up gradually till it reaches the 200 mph airspeed. This can also take a while. To utilize the time before the machine is fully operational, you can use the machine in areas that do not require much pressure.
